Die Zeitschrift Berichte. Geographie und Landeskunde ist ein Publikationsorgan der Deutschen Akademie für Landeskunde und des Leibniz-Instituts für Länderkunde. Die Zeitschrift verfolgt das Ziel, eine Plattform für wissenschaftliche Beiträge im Themenfeld der Geographien des Regionalen, Geographien der Verräumlichung sowie der wissenschaftlichen Landeskunde zu bieten und entsprechend einem State of the Art einer modernen Regionalwissenschaft weiterzuentwickeln. Die Zeitschrift bietet in diesem Themenfeld auch innovativen und explorativen Arbeiten an der Forschungsfront eine Publikationsmöglichkeit. Die Geographien des Regionalen umfassen für uns ein breites Spektrum theoretisch-konzeptioneller Ansätze über spezifische qualitative und quantitative Methoden/Methodologien, Fragen der Globalisierung, (Re-)Territorialisierung bis zu regionalbezogenen Untersuchungen und Darstellungen.

Die Zeitschrift ist ein Publikationsorgan für den gemeinsamen Diskurs natur- und kulturwissenschaftlich orientierter und an regionalen Problemstellungen interessierter Wissenschaftler*innen aus der Geographie und ihren Nachbarwissenschaften.

The journal Berichte. Geographie und Landeskunde  (Reports on Geography and Regional Studies)  is a publication of the Deutsche Akademie für Landeskunde and the Leibniz-Institut für Länderkunde. The aim of the journal is to offer a platform for scientific contributions in the field of regional geography, regional studies and geographies of the conceptualisation and production of space, and to advance the field in accordance with the latest ideas of modern regional geography. The journal also offers the opportunity to publish innovative and explorative work at the forefront of research in this field. For us, regional geography encompasses a broad spectrum of theoretical-conceptual approaches from specific qualitative and quantative methods/methodologies, questions of globalisation and (re-) territorialisation to regionally focused studies and reports.

The publication facilitates the joint discourse between scientists oriented towards the natural and cultural sciences who are interested in regional issues and who come from the field of geography and its related sciences.
