Schriftenreihe des Instituts fuer Bank- und Finanzgeschichte
The publication series by the Institut fuer Bank- und Finanzgeschichte (IBF) (until 2016 the Institut fuer bankhistorische Forschung e.V.) is the leading academic, German-language series with a general focus on the history of banking and finance. The series publishes, above all, dissertations on individual aspects of the development and historical functioning of financial markets and systems and distinguishes itself – within its thematic focus on financial history –with its range of content and methodology, among other things.
The series is published by the Academic Advisory Board of the Institute for Banking and Financial History. The publication of outstanding dissertations in financial history is supported by the IBF's annual banking history prize.

Monographs must be complete and fully finished. For multi-authored volumes contact us as early as possible with details of the planned contributions. In initial submissions, our publication guidelines or citation rules do not have to be strictly followed.
All submissions are subjected to peer review. The review process can result in acceptance, the recommendation of revisions or rejection of the project. You will be informed of the decision by email. We attempt to reach a decision within 3 months of the submission of the manuscript.
