Europaeisches Journal fuer Minderheitenfragen

European Journal of Minority Studies

The disintegration of Yugoslavia in the 1990s at the latest showed that issues relating to the protection of population minorities can make the difference between war and peace and put the topic on the agenda of the international community. Europaeisches Journal für Minderheitenfragen (“European Journal of Minority Studies”) was founded in 2008 to discuss issues relating to the preservation and development of the linguistic and cultural existence and identity of minorities.

The publication contributes to inner peace and cultural diversity in Europe as well as to political decision-making at European, national, regional and local level, which is not a priori majoritarian but takes into account the concerns of ethnic groups. The issues of the interdisciplinary journal are published twice a year in two double issues and undergo a peer review process.
