Boethius
Texte und Abhandlungen zur Geschichte der Mathematik und der Naturwissenschaften
Founded in 1962, the Boethius series presents research on the history of science in the form of monographs, editions and anthologies. The content focuses on the entire range of organised knowledge about nature, including mathematics and the developing disciplines of the natural sciences, but also on the history of technology and material and visual culture studies (collections, instruments, invisible hands).
The series looks at European and global traditions, focussing on developments up to the 19th century and on studies that pay attention not only to cultural localisation but also to the negotiation of knowledge. Boethius is open to a variety of methodological approaches and to contributions in German, English or French.
