Erdkundliches Wissen
Schriftenreihe fuer Forschung und Praxis
This series, founded by Emil Meynen in 1952, quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious and high-profile publishing venues in the field of geographical knowledge, and it remains so to this day. The high standard of the publications and their scientific relevance ensure that the volumes are in demand beyond the borders of the field.
Securing this quality from 1982 were Adolf Leidlmair, Emil Meynen, and Ernst Plewe. In 1985, Gerd Kohlhep replaced Plewe and joined with Adolf Leidlmair and Emil Meynen. Fred Scholz was involved from 1992, providing programmatic accents to gain an international readership. Beginning with volume 142, Martin Coy, Anton Escher, and Thomas Krings took on the editorship. Since 2019, Eberhard Rothfuß has strengthened the team.
