Medizinhistorisches Journal
Medicine and the Life Sciences in History
The Medizinhistorisches Journal, founded in 1966, offers an internationally established forum for presenting research in the history of health and medicine in their respective scientific, social, political, and cultural contexts. The journal publishes original publications, accepted via a peer review process, from both the scientific-historical and the social-historical side of medical history. Contributions in special areas such as dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, and biology are also considered for publication.
In addition, the journal regularly includes a bibliographical section that evaluates contributions to other leading specialist journals and points to “hidden” articles in remote places, as well as a list of international books published in the field.
