Dies Van Der Linde is a PhD candidate at Royal Holloway, University of London. The working title of his doctoral thesis is 'Dialectics of imperial cults. Religious institutions and socio-political interactions in Julio-Claudian Ephesos and Miletos'. In autumn 2020 he was a Jacobi-fellow at the Kommission für Alte Geschichte und Epigraphik in Munich. His primary research interests include Hellenistic and Roman Asia Minor, the historical sociology of the Roman world, and critical theory.
