Weimarer Schriften zur Republik
The democracy of today faces various challenges that repeatedly raise new questions about the prerequisites for its success and possible sources of its failure. In view of this, research into the opportunities and threats of the Weimar Republic remains topical to this day. As the history of its founding, establishment and decline shows, democracy is an order that must be forged and actively maintained. In this spirit, the Weimarer Schriften zur Republik series, published by the Weimar Republic Research Center (“Forschungsstelle Weimarer Republik”) at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, invites scholars from history, law and political science, as well as related disciplines, to publish their research results on the first pan-German democracy and its aftermath in this series.

During the review process, manuscripts may not be submitted elsewhere. Monographs must be complete and fully finished. For multi-authored volumes contact us as early as possible with details of the planned contributions. In initial submissions, our publication guidelines or citation rules do not have to be strictly followed.
All submissions are subjected to peer review. The review process can result in acceptance, the recommendation of revisions or rejection of the project. You will be informed of the decision by email. We attempt to reach a decision within 3 months of the submission of the manuscript.
