Information on the awarding of titles
- A successful book title refers concisely to the content of your work, arouses the interest of your potential readership in a creative way and is easy to find by search engines. Please note the following information on the assignment of titles:
- Structure the title into two parts, consisting of:
- an overarching, short main title and
- a subtitle with a detailed description
- Please formulate the title as concisely as possible in the prevailing publication language.
- Please do not use quotations and/or Latin and Greek Language.
- Please note: The chosen title is not final and can still be changed after submission of the product questionnaire.
Notes on writing an advertising text
- A convincing advertising text is essential to arouse the interest of the professional audience in your publication. The text should arouse curiosity about your work and clearly highlight your work and the benefits it offers to the reader.
- Ideally, if offers an initial orientation into the structure of your work, highlights the results and procedures, outlines the methods used and names the appropriate target group.
- Justify the benefit of the publication by presenting the central question of your thesis as concisely as possible. It essentially represents the “Unique Selling Proposition” (USP).
- In case of anthologies, it is advisable to describe the thematic focal points that emerge from the individual contributions.
- Please write the text in the shortest possible sentences in the prevailing publication language.
- It should contain 1,000–1,200 charakters including spaces.
What are meaningful keywords?
- We report your publication in numerous databases. A valid keywording serves to ensure that your book can be found quickly, e.g. in the direcotry of available books, on Amazon, Google als well as in abstracting services.
- Put yourself in your potential readership's shoes and assign your keywords according to possible search queries: What search terms would they search for to find your publication?
- Use keywords form the book title and/or table of contents.
- Phrases are often used in online searches. Instead of individual terms, please give us phrases consisting of 2–4 words.
