After submission of the corrected proofs, we need – depending on the number of corrections – about 2 weeks to incorporate the requested changes.
We will send you the second (or revision) proof as a PDF file for checking and approval.
In case of edited volumes, the second proof is only sent to the editor responsible, not to the contributors.
You only need to send back to us the pages that still need to be changed.
Usually, the second proof can be used for creating the index.
What is the revision process for?
During revision, you check whether all the corrections noted during the first proofread have been correctly incorporated.
Also, look out for subsequent errors: changing a word break may have introduced a new line break in the rest of the paragraph that follows (with possible new errors).
Replace the last remaining square bullets (■■■) with cross references.
